AUSTIN AUGUSTUS

Right after high school Austin attended Underwater Welding School in Washington. After he completed his training there he came back to Utah and has been increasing his knowledge of welding and fabrication every day. Austin enjoys traveling, the outdoors in all forms, and time with his family and friends.

CASIEY AUGUSTUS

Casiey has always had an entrepreneur mind starting company's and growing them. Meraki Steel is a life long goal accomplished. He and his brother, Austin, frequently revisited the idea until one day they made it happen. Casiey enjoys traveling, making memories with his family, new experiences, and making a difference.

Material Escalation
Pricing is based on material costs at the time of this proposal. If the cost of steel, aluminum, stainless steel, hardware, coatings, freight, or other required materials increases by more than 10% between the date of this proposal and the date materials are purchased, Meraki Steel reserves the right to adjust pricing accordingly.
Price includes shop drawings and applicable sales tax unless otherwise noted.Base plates and moment connection plates are assumed to be 1" thick unless otherwise specified.General Contractor shall provide safe and reasonable access to the job site.All steel requiring galvanization shall be hot-dip galvanized unless otherwise noted.Pipe bollards will be supplied primed only. Anchor bolts are supplied mill finish unless otherwise specified.Shop drawings must be returned Approved before fabrication will begin. Drawings marked Reviewed, For Review, or similar shall not be considered approved.Pricing includes installation during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.). Overtime, weekend, holiday, or after-hours work will be billed as additional work and must be approved in writing before being performed.Customer is responsible for unloading any items designated as Furnish Only.Chargebacks must first be submitted to Meraki Steel in writing with reasonable opportunity to inspect and correct the alleged deficiency. Meraki Steel shall not be responsible for chargebacks that do not follow this procedure.Projects extending beyond five (5) months from the date of proposal may require a material escalation adjustment.Material will not be ordered until:* Shop drawings have been approved.
* Required engineering information has been received.
* The required deposit has been received.
Customer-caused delays, including delayed approvals, site readiness issues, scheduling conflicts, design revisions, or requested rescheduling may result in additional labor, storage, equipment, mobilization, remobilization, and material charges.Any work requested outside the original proposal shall constitute a Change Order and will be billed at current labor and material rates unless otherwise agreed to in writing.Meraki Steel reserves the right to suspend fabrication, delivery, installation, scheduling, or any other work if any invoice becomes past due. Meraki Steel shall not be responsible for delays resulting from customer non-payment.Acceptance of this proposal, issuance of a purchase order, authorization to proceed, or acceptance of any labor or materials constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions. These Terms & Conditions are incorporated into and govern every proposal, estimate, invoice, purchase order, change order, and agreement between Meraki Steel and the Customer unless otherwise agreed to in writing.Estimates are valid for fifteen (15) calendar days.---EXCLUSIONSUnless specifically included in this proposal, the following are excluded:* Steel shown on architectural drawings but not specifically identified in structural drawings or this proposal
* Light gauge or cold-formed framing
* Any item identified only as "metal"
* Materials not specifically listed in this proposal
* Surveying
* Shooting elevations
* Setting anchor bolts
* Leveling plates or leveling nuts
* Cutting openings in decking
* Mechanical openings
* Product samples
* Wage scale requirements
* No-shrink grout
* Performance, payment, or other bonds
* Special inspections or testing
* Permit costs
* Traffic control
* Street closures
* Permit acquisition
* Field measurements
* Installing lintels
* Finish painting or field touch-up painting
* Demolition
* Shoring
* Welding structural steel or metal decking to light gauge framing
Light gauge shall include any member designated by gauge thickness (14 ga, 16 ga, etc.).---PAYMENT TERMSPayment is due within thirty (30) calendar days after the Customer receives the invoice, unless otherwise agreed to in writing.For projects requiring deposits:* 50% deposit is due before material is ordered or work begins.
* Remaining balance is due according to the agreed payment schedule or upon completion of each trade.

* Cash
Credit and debit card payments are accepted and may be subject to a 3% processing fee.Past-due balances shall accrue interest at the rate of 1.5% per month (18% annually) or the maximum amount permitted under Utah law, whichever is less.Customer agrees to pay all reasonable costs incurred in collecting unpaid balances, including:* Attorney's fees
* Court costs
* Collection agency fees
* Mechanics lien filing fees
* Other collection expenses permitted by law
Returned checks or rejected ACH payments are subject to a $35.00 administrative fee.Completion of punch-list items shall not delay payment of undisputed amounts.Materials completed but not accepted or scheduled for delivery within ten (10) calendar days after notification may be subject to reasonable storage charges.---WARRANTYMeraki Steel warrants its workmanship for one (1) year from the date of substantial completion.This warranty does not cover:* Normal wear
* Corrosion
* Abuse
* Improper use
* Alterations by others
* Structural movement
* Design deficiencies
* Damage caused by third parties
* Acts of God
---LIEN RIGHTSMeraki Steel expressly reserves all rights available under Utah law, including the right to record and enforce a Mechanics Lien against the property for unpaid labor, materials, approved change orders, equipment, interest, and other amounts recoverable by law.---GOVERNING LAWThese Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the State of Utah. Any legal action arising from this agreement shall be brought exclusively in a court of competent jurisdiction located in Utah County, Utah.---FORCE MAJEUREMeraki Steel shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to weather, labor shortages, supplier delays, transportation interruptions, material shortages, governmental actions, strikes, pandemics, or other force majeure events.
